Data methodology

Everything on our job pages comes from real job ads we collect every day. This page explains where they come from, what we do with them and the limits of the numbers, so you know when to rely on them.

Where jobs come from

We collect jobs from boards that allow reuse (such as Adzuna, Himalayas, Arbeitnow and Get on Board) and from company careers pages on public systems like Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby. Every job shows its source and links to the original.

How we clean them

When a job expires

Job pages only list jobs posted in the last 45 days. After 30 days we flag that a job may be closed. Job pages older than 60 days are no longer indexed and, if a job disappears from our database, its page returns “no longer available” (HTTP 410).

How we calculate typical pay

Only when at least 5 jobs on the page publish pay in the same currency and period. We show the 25th to 75th percentile: the middle half of published pay. Many jobs don't publish pay, so the range may not reflect the whole market.

Which pages we create

We only create a role and city page if it has at least 8 matching jobs posted in the last 45 days. Free-text searches without their own page are not indexed.

FAQ

Why don't job counts match other sites?

We only count jobs for the role posted in recent weeks and remove obvious duplicates; other sites often include old or loosely related jobs.
