Salary: £50,000 - 62,000 per year Requirements: Demonstrable commercial experience as a senior or lead software engineer working on modern websites or digital platforms, with proven full-stack engineering skills including front-end technologies such as React or Next.js Additional experience with Python and Django for back-end development would be desirable Strong understanding of front-end web architecture, including React, headless CMS, and relevant CI/CD pipelines Exposure to AI tools for engineering efficiency Experience with scalable, cloud-based secure web platforms, preferably integrating CRM, marketing analytics, or payment transactions Experience with line management of direct reports and performance appraisals would be beneficial Full, unrestricted rights to work in the UK Responsibilities: Take a significant role in improving the user experience Build using modern technologies Work as a key member of a dedicated, small team alongside external partners Report directly to the CIO Lead hands-on software engineering work on the organisations digital platform Technologies: AI CI/CD Cloud CMS CRM Django Marketing Python React Web JavaScript More: We are a not-for-profit organisation based a few miles south of Cambridge, working to help tackle human diseases and disorders. We are revolutionising our digital platform and building a dedicated small team to work alongside external partners. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.
