Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements: Good understanding of Unix systems, including user access setup, SSH configuration, and Bash scripting Strong technical knowledge of SSH keys, algorithms, configurations, and SSH certificates Deep Linux knowledge, including service management and backend support Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, Splunk, and Postman Understanding of software release management and deployment tools such as GitHub and Jenkins Knowledge and experience of industry best practices and tools for SSH key discovery and remediation Experience with databases, including Microsoft SQL Identity and access management experience, including RBAC and privileged access management Experience with service management tools and processes, such as ServiceNow and RFCs Good Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel skills Good understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including VMware, Windows and Linux infrastructure, databases, firewalls, and networks Ability to work independently when needed and under pressure A track record of seeking ways to improve processes and understanding of how to implement change successfully Optional: Experience in large organisations, preferably in the financial sector Optional: Venafi TPP knowledge and experience, including Venafi for SSH key discovery Responsibilities: Maintain SSH discovery tooling, assist with tooling reports and upgrades, and report issues to the vendor Work with a small team of engineers to assess new requirements and feature requests Support backend tasks in a Linux environment using PostgreSQL Own and improve secure SSH access across the estate, including configuration, key and certificate handling, access controls, and operational hygiene Lead or execute PrivX onboarding for SSH discovery and reporting and just-in-time privileged access, including integration, rollout, and stakeholder coordination Help enforce privileged access standards, support policy-aligned control design, and produce audit evidence Build and maintain Python tools and scripts to automate discovery, reporting, access workflows, and relevant integrations Diagnose SSH connectivity and authentication issues, support incident and problem management, and drive continuous improvement through metrics and documentation Collaborate with platform, cloud, network, and security teams; translate technical requirements into clear skills descriptions and runbooks Technologies: Ansible Backen
