Enterprise Systems is part of IS&T and owns the technology behind Apple's SAP environment and its modernization through the SAP Landscape Modernization (SLM) initiative. The team manages the continuous operation, maintenance, and evolution of the world's largest single-instance SAP deployment - a platform that sustains Apple's global supply chain and the integrity of its core financial systems. Description SAP Technology team within Apple is responsible for managing a large set of SAP systems, some the one of the biggest and busiest in the world. These systems support critical business functions within Apple. This team is technical owner of SAP landscapes. The team is primarily responsible for system scalability, availability, performance, Infrastructure security and Software life cycle management. We are looking for highly hands-on candidate with intellectual curiosity and deep knowledge on RCA and recommending and implementing best SRE/DevOps methodologies and ability to solve complex issues with creative ideas. Responsibilities: Design and implement new software to streamline manual operations wherever required. Maintain Linux and other types of systems on-premise and cloud like AWS,GCP. Triage production issues along with other dev ,infra and production support team members Conduct root cause analysis of critical issues in large-scale distributed systems Enable zero-downtime deployment process through the use of continuous delivery practices, rapidly releasing features etc Work with QA, security, and development teams to craft solutions Developing self-service tools to enhance developer productivity for application management as necessarily required. Actively analyze and handle issues on with platforms before they impact end-users Be a key player in improving operational maturity though producing long term fixes from issues identified and enable team accordingly. Collaborate on microservices systems architecture design. Ability to participate in and after hours on-call rotation schedule. Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
