Salary: £47,500 - 47,500 per year Requirements: Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 Practical experience developing Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs) and completing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) Confidence working independently, asking the right questions, and explaining requirements clearly Experience reviewing contractual data protection clauses is valuable Organised, approachable, and pragmatic, with sound judgement to prioritise work and see improvements through Responsibilities: Develop a comprehensive Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) documenting how personal data is used, shared, retained, and protected Gather information from departments and identify gaps, risks, and required actions Establish a practical process for keeping the ROPA accurate and up to date Review and update Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and support new assessments where required Review data protection and data-sharing provisions in existing contracts Develop guidance, screening checklists, and learning materials Help colleagues understand their responsibilities and make informed decisions about personal data Technologies: Support Security More: We are recruiting a temporary Data Protection Specialist for a focused privacy compliance improvement programme within an established organisation.
