Salary: £36,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: Experience in threat-led detection engineering and behavioural analytics Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK mapping and adversary TTP analysis Skills in threat intelligence, modelling and hunting Detection development using KQL, SPL or Sigma Python and PowerShell automation skills Familiarity with security telemetry across endpoint, identity, cloud and network environments Experience with detection tuning, validation and false-positive reduction Knowledge of Detection-as-Code and version control Experience with attack simulation, purple teaming and adversary emulation Experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or Elastic Responsibilities: Translate threat intelligence, threat hunting findings, red team exercises and incident investigations into accurate detection logic Develop and validate detections to improve visibility of emerging threats Strengthen threat detection capabilities across an enterprise environment Improve the effectiveness of security operations through threat-led detection engineering Technologies: Cloud Support Network PowerShell Python Security Splunk More: We are recruiting a SOC Detection Engineer for a six-month contract based in Leamington Spa, Manchester or Warrington.
