Salary: £50,000 - 55,000 per year Requirements: Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Unity Experience supporting Microsoft Teams and unified communications environments Good understanding of SIP, VoIP and voice networking technologies Experience troubleshooting complex voice infrastructure issues Working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and general networking principles Understanding of routing, switching and firewall technologies, with willingness to develop further Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for learning new technologies Desirable: Cisco UCCE or other Cisco collaboration technologies Desirable: Cisco routing and switching Desirable: Firewalls, including Cisco, Palo Alto or Check Point Desirable: Cisco ISE, 802.1X or network access control Desirable: Cisco wireless networking Desirable: SolarWinds or similar network monitoring tools Formal certifications are not essential; practical technical experience, problem-solving ability and the right attitude are more important. Responsibilities: Provide technical support, troubleshooting and maintenance for enterprise voice and unified communications systems Support and administer Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity and Microsoft Teams environments Investigate and resolve complex voice-related incidents, minimising disruption to critical services Support SIP connectivity, call routing and other voice networking technologies Develop networking knowledge while working with experienced network engineers across LAN, WAN, routing, switching and firewall technologies Configure, maintain, monitor and optimise network infrastructure Participate in business-as-usual activities, infrastructure upgrades and technical improvement projects Collaborate with internal teams and third-party suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Participate in an on-call rota, supporting critical incidents across the wider network estate Technologies: Cloud Cisco Firewall Support LAN Network Security Unity GameDev More: We are recruiting a Voice & Network Engineer for a leading organisation in Cheltenham, joining its established infrastructure team.
