Salary: £130,000 - 130,260 per year Requirements: LBG clearance Hands-on commercial experience with Apigee X Good knowledge of API proxies, policies, shared flows, target servers, KVMs, and environment configuration Strong understanding of REST APIs and API authentication, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, OIDC, and token handling Experience troubleshooting end-to-end API requests and connectivity issues Experience with commonly used Apigee policies and security controls Understanding of GCP, networking, DNS, TLS, and service connectivity Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as GitHub, Harness, Jenkins, or Cloud Build Experience with repeatable API deployment, testing, and promotion practices Ability to produce clear test evidence, technical documentation, and operational runbooks Experience with Terraform, Python, Bash, GKE, Cloud Run, Dynatrace, Google Cloud Operations, or ServiceNow is advantageous Experience in a large enterprise or regulated environment is advantageous Responsibilities: Configure and test Apigee X proxies, policies, target connectivity, and environment settings Implement and test API security controls, authentication, and token-handling patterns Troubleshoot API routing, connectivity, TLS, authentication, and policy issues Support API onboarding and deployment across multiple workstreams Work with CI/CD pipelines and repeatable deployment processes Configure and promote APIs through development and test environments Investigate defects and resolve integration issues with application and platform teams Produce test evidence and document technical outcomes Create onboarding guidance, operational documentation, and runbooks Support production-readiness activities and knowledge transfer Collaborate with platform, application, network, and security teams Technologies: API Apigee Bash CI/CD Cloud Dynatrace GCP GitHub Support JWT Jenkins Network OAuth Python REST Security ServiceNow Terraform DevOps More: We are recruiting a Senior Consultant in Apigee Delivery for a major technology programme. This is a technically hands-on role working across multiple workstreams to configure, test, troubleshoot, and onboard APIs onto Apigee X and Google Cloud Platform. The position is remote, with occasional visits to the London site. The contract starts ASAP and runs until June 2027, inside IR35.
