Salary: 70.000 - 100.000 € per year Requirements: Degree in Computer Science or a similar field At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience Extensive experience in software architecture, design and development Excellent C++ skills; experience with other programming languages or frameworks such as Qt/QML, Ada or Python is welcome English negotiation-level proficiency Experience with Tornado or Eurofighter avionics would be beneficial Responsibilities: Design software architecture for models and components supporting new simulator functionality Develop C++ simulation models representing aircraft equipment and subsystems Create and perform unit tests for simulation models and modules using C++ and Python Create tools to improve our development processes, such as code generators Perform integration and acceptance testing Technologies: Ada Support Python Qt C++ More: At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH, we develop high-fidelity simulations for a range of aircraft and support the entire development life cycle. We hold technical responsibility for our simulators and design, develop, integrate and deliver complex training and engineering simulations. Our distributed real-time applications are primarily written in C++, with Python and Ada also used. This permanent professional role is based in Manching, about an hour north of Munich, where countryside living is within reach of nearby cities and a range of leisure and cultural activities.
