Waymo’s Technical Program Managers are accountable for Waymo’s roadmap execution by providing thoughtful cross-functional planning, clarity, and proactive risk management. In the face of complex technical and operational challenges with no established playbooks to follow, we act with thoughtful urgency, driving conversations, discussions, and outcomes. Our team partners closely with every function of Waymo to structure, own and drive work towards real-world deployments of the Waymo Driver across platforms and geographies. This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports and you will report to a Manager of Technical Program Management. You will: Lead critical cross-functional Fleet Management programs across Product, Ops, Systems Engineering, Design, and Engineering, establishing or improving workflows and processes where needed Drive end-to-end technical program execution for fleet orchestration & optimization, automation workflow feature development, and new vehicle platform enablement—from requirements through staged rollout Prioritize, manage, and drive program issues, risks, and cross-team dependencies; resolve misalignments with overall scope, schedule, and engineering capacity Establish and drive fleet and depot reliability programs, including operational triage, bug burndowns, early issue discovery, and pre-production evaluation roadmaps Keep stakeholders across Waymo informed and aligned; represent programs to senior leadership and partner with them to remove blockers Prioritize projects across the Fleet portfolio, ensuring scope, time, and resources are defined and aligned to maximize vehicle uptime, depot turnaround efficiency, and operational scalability You have: 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager driving complex software, system
