Salary: £60,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements: Strong SQL and Python skills Solid understanding of Lakehouse architecture and data management principles Hands-on experience with Azure, including Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Storage, and DevOps Experience designing Star Schema data models for Power BI 5+ years of experience building data platforms in a commercial setting Real-time pipeline experience is desirable Azure Data Engineer certification is desirable Exposure to Kafka or other open-source tools is desirable Background in a regulated industry such as finance or insurance is desirable Responsibilities: Design and build performant data ingestion pipelines using Apache Spark, ideally within Azure Databricks Contribute to our platform data modelling and architecture Build dashboards and semantic models, and present them directly to stakeholders Work across the full pipeline from source systems to target repositories, with a strong focus on data quality Collaborate with Data Scientists to help productionise ML pipelines Operate within an Agile/DevOps environment Technologies: Azure Databricks DevOps Kafka Power BI Python SQL Spark Cloud More: We are a growing financial services business building out our data platform from the ground up.
