Salary: £? - ? per year Requirements: Experience as a Portfolio Analyst, PMO Analyst, Programme Analyst or in a similar role Strong portfolio reporting and governance experience Experience producing management information and performance reports Knowledge of programme and project lifecycle methodologies Experience tracking risks, issues, dependencies and benefits realisation Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting tools Desirable: experience supporting large-scale business transformation programmes Desirable: public sector, local government, NHS or regulated-sector experience Desirable: experience with portfolio assurance, stage-gate reviews or portfolio governance frameworks Desirable: knowledge of portfolio management tools such as Verto, Power BI, MS Project or similar Responsibilities: Support portfolio governance meetings, boards and review forums Track programme progress, risks, dependencies and key milestones Monitor the delivery of benefits, outcomes and savings initiatives Produce portfolio-level reports, dashboards and management information Provide assurance and challenge to help ensure programmes remain on track Support project gateway reviews and investment decision-making Work with stakeholders across the organisation to maintain accurate portfolio data Contribute to the development of portfolio management standards, processes and best practice Support prioritisation and resource planning across multiple programmes Technologies: Excel Support Power BI More: We are partnering with a large public sector organisation undertaking a significant transformation programme to recruit a Portfolio Analyst. This is an initial six-month contract, paying £350–£400 per day via umbrella, with hybrid working in Leicester. You will join a newly established Portfolio Office supporting a complex portfolio of strategic change initiatives focused on service improvement, organisational efficiency, financial sustainability and long-term business change.
