Salary: £60,000 - 75,000 per year Requirements: Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot. Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs. Commercial frontend development experience with Angular, React, or Vue.js; Angular is preferred, and candidates with React or Vue.js experience who are willing to learn Angular will also be considered. Good understanding of relational databases and ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries. Experience with Docker/Kubernetes or OpenShift. Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming. Experience developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications. Familiarity with Git, testing, debugging, and modern software development practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with confidence discussing technical implementations in depth. Comfortable working across frontend and backend development. Desirable: cloud technologies and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines; Jenkins, Maven, or other build tools; J2EE, JBoss, or legacy enterprise systems; large-scale transactional systems, billing platforms, or telecommunications software; AI-assisted development tools. Telecommunications experience is desired but not essential. The role may suit someone with 5+ years of full-stack development experience or a senior developer who enjoys hands-on coding and taking ownership of technical solutions. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and enhance our core software products. Work with developers, architects, and project managers to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Work across existing systems and new development as we modernise our software platforms. Help improve scalability, performance, and maintainability. Contribute to technical design discussions.
