Salary: £34,000 - 40,000 per year Requirements: Experience providing 1st-line support, with exposure to 2nd-line tasks and some 3rd-line support Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft 365 Familiarity with SQL Server management Basic understanding of virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs and firewalls Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a customer-facing role Must have the right to work in the UK Responsibilities: Provide 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd-line IT support to staff, resolving hardware, software and network issues Troubleshoot issues across Windows servers, networking, firewalls and virtual environments Help maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans Support internal ERP and warehouse management systems Help develop and maintain internal software solutions Keep IT documentation up to date and compliant with ISO 9001 procedures Technologies: ERP Hardware Hyper-V Support Microsoft 365 Network SQL VMware Veeam Windows Office 365 Security More: Were offering a permanent IT Support Engineer position near Shepton Mallet, with a salary of £34,000–£40,000 depending on experience. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:00. The role is suited to someone currently working for an MSP who would like to move in-house, or someone in a company IT department interested in joining a larger business.
