Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements: Proven experience in Service Architecture or IT Service Design roles Strong understanding of ITIL and service management principles Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and application landscapes Ability to create detailed service models and operational documentation Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Active MOD SC clearance with at least three months remaining Ability to work with sensitive and classified information in accordance with government and organisational security policies Ability to meet the assignments stated security eligibility requirements, including sole UK nationality and the specified overseas-residency requirement ITIL certification at Foundation level or higher (desirable) Experience in large-scale enterprise or government environments (desirable) Familiarity with service modelling tools and frameworks (desirable) Responsibilities: We will develop service architectures covering infrastructure, applications and operational processes We will work with stakeholders to capture functional and non-functional requirements for new or modified services We will ensure new services integrate effectively with ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management We will produce service design packages, service models, operational procedures and support documentation We will define service standards and ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements We will work with project teams to support the transition of services from design into live operation We will identify opportunities to improve service performance and cost efficiency We will design and define end-to-end IT service solutions that meet business requirements and organisational standards, ensuring services are scalable, secure, deliverable within agreed SLAs, and integrated with existing processes and technologies Technologies: Architect Support ITIL ITSM Security More: We are recruiting for a Service Architect assignment supporting a large-scale environment where security, governance and effective transition into live IT operations are key. The role is based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, with hybrid working and on-site work likely during project delivery; the exact arrangement will be discussed at interview.
