Salary: £37,000 - 77,000 per year Requirements: Were looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Interaction Designer with excellent communication skills who is open-minded, works well independently and in a team, and is keen to learn new technologies and promote best practice. We require core skills in sketching, design production, hand-coded HTML and CSS, and rapid prototyping. We require proven experience designing web interfaces and transaction flows, prototyping for the web, and designing in the browser. We require a basic understanding of web technologies and how they affect design, including accessibility. We require experience in web and mobile application interface design and responsive interaction design for mobile devices. We require experience researching designs with users and in service design, including user journey mapping. We require experience working in an agile, multidisciplinary team and delivering iterative design components, including user journeys, to development teams. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to pass BPSS vetting. Responsibilities: Work within agile delivery teams to produce and implement high-quality design concepts for digital services. Work with User Researchers to ensure internal and external outputs are well designed and user-focused. Design and deliver consistent, user-focused communication materials. Partner with colleagues to create a consistent user experience across services, including reusable digital service elements. Build relationships and work effectively with colleagues and external providers, including User Researchers and Business Analysts. Deliver high-quality digital service designs that meet web standards, incorporating accessibility compliance from the outset. Communicate credibly with a wide range of digital delivery disciplines, internally and externally. Participate in the wider Interaction Design community, building relationships, identifying learning opportunities, and sharing best practices we can adopt. In this role, youll work alongside User Researchers and Frontend Developers, designing in the browser to create successful, user-focused services.
