Salary: £65,000 - 75,000 per year Requirements: Strong commercial development experience with Java and Spring Boot. Hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices. Commercial frontend development experience using Angular, React, or Vue.js; Angular is our preferred framework, and developers with React or Vue experience must be willing to learn Angular. Good understanding of relational databases and experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software engineering principles, and design patterns. Experience developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications. Familiarity with Git, testing, debugging, and modern software development practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to explain technical implementations in detail. Comfortable working across backend and frontend development. Strong mid-level developers ready to step into a senior position will also be considered. Desirable: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift; cloud technologies and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines; Jenkins, Maven, or other build tools; J2EE, JBoss, or established enterprise systems; large-scale transactional systems, billing platforms, or telecommunications software; Oracle or PL/SQL. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this vacancy. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and enhance our core software products. Design and develop Java and Spring Boot applications. Develop RESTful APIs and microservices. Build and enhance frontend functionality. Work with relational databases and SQL. Contribute to technical architecture and design discussions. Modernise existing applications and improve performance, scalability, and maintainability. Troubleshoot complex technical problems, conduct code reviews, and support testing and releases. Collaborate with developers, architects, project managers, and our international engineering team to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
