Job Description We are seeking an In-Memory Database Platform Engineer to join the Database Engineering team and help build, operate, and modernize enterprise in-memory database services. This mid-level role will support on-premises Redis deployments and multiple cloud-managed in-memory database offerings, with an emphasis on reliable operations, automation, security, performance, high availability, backup and recovery, and consistent engineering practices. The ideal candidate has practical Redis administration experience, solid Linux skills, and hands-on exposure to one or more cloud in-memory database services. The engineer will work closely with application, infrastructure, security, SRE, network, and cloud engineering teams while continuing to grow platform-design and troubleshooting expertise. In-Memory Database Platform Engineering Build, deploy, administer, and support production and non-production Redis environments across on-premises infrastructure and cloud-managed in-memory database services. Perform installation, configuration, patching, version upgrades, migrations, lifecycle management, and routine platform maintenance. Support Redis standalone, replication, and clustered architectures as applicable to the platform and workload. Apply engineering standards, reference configurations, operational controls, and documented best practices. Partner with application teams on connectivity, caching patterns, key design, data structures, performance, resilience, and operational readiness. Multi-Cloud In-Memory Services Support managed in-memory database offerings such as Amazon ElastiCache for Redis/Valkey, Amazon MemoryDB, Azure Managed Redis, and Google Cloud Memorystore, based on enterprise platform direction. Assist with provisioning, configuration, scaling, maintenance, monitoring, networking, access management, and migration activities across cloud environments.
