Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year Requirements: Experience or interest in Kotlin and Java for well-factored, well-tested code in Android apps and backend orchestration services Familiarity with the Android toolset, including Android Studio Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Espresso; interest in approaches such as pair programming, TDD and BDD Familiarity with AWS or willingness to learn Passion for creating products that produce good customer outcomes Interest in leading a team of technologists and collaborating with product, design and other disciplines Ability to think strategically about product iterations and architectural decisions, and communicate with stakeholders Appreciation of the sensitivity of customer data and the importance of resilience, performance and security Interest in automation, including deployment pipelines and automated testing Willingness to learn, adapt and develop professionally Interest in hybrid working, with three days a week in the London office Responsibilities: Set the pace for multiple mobile engineering teams Take ownership of our fully native mobile apps Help design product iterations and make strategic architectural decisions Evaluate technical risks and communicate decisions to stakeholders Coach and mentor more junior engineers Work with colleagues across technology, product, design and other disciplines Technologies: AWS Android Backend Support JUnit Java Kotlin Mobile Security TDD Cloud HTTP More: We are hiring a Lead Android Engineer for a permanent role in our London office, with a hybrid schedule: in the office Tuesday through Thursday and working from home Monday and Friday.
