Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: 3–5 years of commercial experience in a security or infrastructure role Strong, recent experience managing Windows operating systems Experience managing next-generation firewall policies Experience deploying and managing endpoint protection and EDR Knowledge of TCP/IP and VLANs Strong communication skills and the ability to convey security risks clearly and confidently Knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, or the NIST Framework Experience administering Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, Azure AD, or SCCM Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages Responsibilities: Assist with implementing, maintaining, and documenting security solutions, and ensure existing systems are replaced Own endpoint protection, boundary firewalls, and other technical security solutions Implement exceptions and make changes for new requirements in line with least-privilege principles, while maintaining usability and a good end-user experience Use open-source intelligence and official disclosures to identify potential security risks and suggest remediation steps in line with the assessed level of risk Work with the Cyber Security Analyst to provide second- and third-line support for IT security incidents and requests, resolving issues within IT service-level agreements Contribute to the professional development of the Cyber Security Analyst and junior IT team members Provide out-of-hours support on a rotating basis Advise the IT team on best practices for implementing projects and solutions in line with least-privilege principles Assist with ongoing cybersecurity projects and work toward strategic objectives, particularly reducing cybersecurity risk Technologies: Active Directory Azure Firewall Support Office 365 PowerShell Security TCP/IP Windows Cloud More: We are an expanding, market-leading organisation based in North Somerset.
