Team: Small Markets, Support – Ops EU Location: Berlin ( Onsite ) Employment type: Full-time About the team Our Small Markets Support team is the first point of contact for merchants across Hungary, working hand in hand with colleagues across SumUp to resolve issues quickly and keep businesses running smoothly. As the Hungarian and English-speaking voice of SumUp, you'd help merchants solve real, day-to-day problems, everything from technical hiccups to account queries, while shaping how we support this market going forward. It's a role where no two days look the same, and where good listening and clear communication genuinely make a difference to small business owners who depend on us. What you'll do Support Hungarian and English-speaking merchants across chat, email and phone, helping them resolve a range of technical and account-related issues Listen closely to merchant problems and find practical solutions that keep their businesses moving Flag patterns and suggest improvements to processes, helping the team continuously improve the merchant experience Work closely with colleagues across other departments to get merchants the right answer, fast Collaborate with an international, multilingual team spread across markets You'll be great for this role if Excellent spoken and written skills in Hungarian and English, with the confidence to communicate clearly across phone, chat, and email Strong communication skills and genuine comfort explaining technical issues in simple terms A customer-oriented mindset, with real enthusiasm for helping people solve problems Ability to stay calm, patient, and solution-focused, even in more demanding conversations Prior experience in customer support or operations is a plus, as is a naturally curious, troubleshooting mindset Why you should join SumUp 🌎 Opportunity to work with SumUppers globally on large-scale fintech products used by millions of businesses worldwide, from our Berlin office.
