Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: Impressive academic credentials, with at least a 2.1 in Computer Science or a closely similar subject from a well-respected university Proven ability to learn new skills and quickly solve problems Excellent practical knowledge of the Linux operating system Experience with deploying and testing software systems including integrated bespoke hardware Strong scripting skills with Bash or Python Solid understanding of software engineering standard tools such as version control with GitHub Existing UK work permission without time limit or sponsorship Knowledge of FPGA-based systems, CI/CD infrastructure, Rust, or Verilog would enhance your application Responsibilities: Carry out manual system-level testing to ensure software performance and usability Take the lead on the move towards automation Deploy finished releases to bespoke FPGA-accelerated Linux systems on-site and overseas Tackle emergent issues with deployments Characterise and diagnose problems with the software itself Provide some out-of-hours support from time to time Technologies: Bash CI/CD FPGA GitHub Hardware Support Linux Python Rust Verilog More: We are a small, predominantly Cambridge-based engineering team operating within the financial sector, relying on high-availability ultrafast processing and communications.
