Salary: £50,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a proactive problem solver with a solid foundation. A few years of commercial experience writing clean, efficient, and testable code in Go. A proactive mindset with a focus on improving the codebase, fixing bugs, and streamlining processes. A good understanding of microservices and event-driven design, including eventual consistency and distributed systems. An SRE mindset with a strong focus on maintaining and improving production services. Strong communication skills and comfort working out loud, explaining technical concepts to non-technical people. Experience with Test-Driven Development and openness to pair programming when tackling complex problems. Comfort using AI coding assistants and LLMs to accelerate daily workflow, from scaffolding code and writing tests to debugging complex issues. Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, including DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and S3. Bonus points for previous experience working in an international company or dealing with high-volume transactional systems such as POS or e-commerce. Experience with Kafka is also a strong plus. Responsibilities: Build and maintain robust, high-throughput microservices and features in Go. Work proactively in a Kanban environment and actively pick up work in a continuous delivery setting. Participate in weekly signal channel reviews to identify, investigate, and resolve production anomalies. Help implement scalable solutions and contribute to technical discussions alongside senior engineers. Support product and delivery teams to ensure integrations roll out smoothly across international markets. Build high-volume POS and menu integrations that keep global brands running smoothly across 10+ countries.
