Salary: £40,000 - 73,000 per year Requirements: Experience supporting VMware virtualization platforms in an on-premises infrastructure environment. Good working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related infrastructure services. Experience supporting backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes in a business environment. Understanding of networking principles, including VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless technologies, and cloud networking concepts. Experience administering or supporting Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online. Awareness of or practical experience with Microsoft Azure services, such as virtual machines, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and backup. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical incidents using structured troubleshooting methods. Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation. Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands, and work effectively independently and as part of a wider IT team. Desirable: Experience with enterprise storage platforms, including SAN or NAS technologies. Desirable: Awareness of IT security controls, vulnerability management, infrastructure patching, and compliance requirements. Desirable: Experience in an ITIL-aligned support or service management environment. Desirable: Relevant technical certifications in VMware, Microsoft, Azure, networking, backup, or infrastructure technologies. Desirable: Experience supporting infrastructure change, migration, modernisation, cloud adoption, or service improvement projects. Desirable: Experience working with hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises services and Microsoft Azure.
