Salary: £40,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: Strong commercial software engineering experience and hands-on Generative AI development expertise Experience leading technical teams Strong Python, Java, and FastAPI development experience Experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Large Language Models Experience with RAG architectures, prompt orchestration, and LLM integration AWS cloud engineering experience, particularly with Bedrock and AgentCore Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and engineering automation Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems Technical leadership and mentoring experience Experience delivering secure, production-grade applications Experience with Terraform, GitOps, Kong API Gateway, vector search, SQL/NoSQL databases, or AI evaluation tools such as Arize or Promptfoo would be useful Experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated environments would be beneficial Ideally, 12+ years of commercial experience and availability immediately or within four weeks Responsibilities: Lead a team of AI Developers delivering enterprise-grade Generative and Agentic AI solutions Design and develop Python and Java services, APIs, and AI components Build LLM integrations, RAG architectures, and agent-based workflows Develop prompt orchestration, output validation, and AI evaluation capabilities Work with AWS services including Bedrock, AgentCore, EKS, EC2, S3, and SQS Design CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices Integrate AI services with enterprise security and observability frameworks Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to establish reusable patterns and engineering standards Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance Technologies: Agentic AI AI API AWS CI/CD Cloud DevOps EC2 FastAPI GitOps Java LLM NoSQL Python RAG SQL Security Terraform microservices More: We are a technology consultancy delivering enterprise-scale Generative and Agentic AI solutions for a major financial services client. This is a permanent AI Tech Lead Developer role in London, with hybrid working and three days per week onsite. The salary is £75,000–£85,000 plus benefits. Youll work alongside experienced architects, platform engineers, and development teams, leading delivery while remaining hands-on.
