Salary: £40,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: Strong Python backend development skills and experience with FastAPI Practical experience developing Generative AI applications, including Agentic AI and LLM-powered solutions Experience with RAG architectures, prompt orchestration and vector search AWS cloud engineering experience, particularly with Bedrock and AgentCore Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices and distributed systems Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps and automation Experience with LLM integration, evaluation and performance optimisation Experience with secure application development and observability Ideally, 8+ years of commercial experience and availability immediately or within four weeks Experience with Terraform, GitOps, Kong API Gateway, SQL/NoSQL databases, or AI evaluation tools such as Promptfoo or Arize would be useful Experience in financial services, insurance or another regulated environment would be beneficial Responsibilities: Design and develop Python backend services and APIs using FastAPI Build Generative AI, Agentic AI and LLM-powered applications Develop RAG architectures, prompt orchestration and AI evaluation tooling Integrate LLMs with enterprise applications and business workflows Work with AWS services, including Bedrock, AgentCore, EKS, EC2, S3 and SQS Design CI/CD pipelines, automation and reusable microservices Support LLM benchmarking, performance monitoring and cost optimisation Integrate AI services with enterprise security and observability frameworks Collaborate with architects and platform engineers to deliver scalable AI solutions Technologies: Agentic AI AI API AWS Backend CI/CD Cloud DevOps EC2 FastAPI GitOps Support LLM NoSQL Python RAG SQL Security Terraform microservices More: Were recruiting two Senior Python AI Developers for a technology consultancy delivering enterprise-scale Generative and Agentic AI solutions for a major financial services client. These hands-on roles focus on building core services, features and capabilities for a secure, scalable, production-ready AI platform, alongside experienced AI engineers, architects and platform specialists. We offer permanent or contract positions, with permanent salaries of £60,000–£75,000 or a contract rate of approximately £475 per day. The role is based in London with hybrid working and three days per week onsite.
