Salary: £88,000 - 88,000 per year Requirements: Experience leading Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering teams Strong Azure engineering and architecture experience Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with Azure Landing Zones, Azure networking, identity and cloud security Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code and Bicep Experience with Azure DevOps, DevOps and CI/CD Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and cloud governance Experience with cloud migration programmes, Azure cost optimisation and FinOps Technical solution design experience Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and Kanban Stakeholder and supplier management experience Excellent communication and leadership skills Desirable: Local Government experience Desirable: Knowledge of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Zero Trust architecture Desirable: Experience with multi-cloud environments and enterprise-scale transformation programmes Responsibilities: Lead, coach and develop a team of up to six Cloud Engineers Manage Agile delivery, sprint planning, stand-ups and engineering ceremonies Design and implement secure Azure and Google Cloud environments Deliver Azure Landing Zones and modern cloud platforms Drive Zero Trust cloud architecture and security best practice Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep Apply Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) principles Lead cloud migration and modernisation initiatives Drive DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices Ensure cloud governance, resilience and operational excellence Work with Architecture, Security, Development, Data and Infrastructure teams Review project requests and provide technical direction, solution design and delivery estimates Manage Azure cost optimisation and FinOps activities Build delivery roadmaps and continually improve engineering processes Manage supplier relationships and technical delivery partners Technologies: Azure CI/CD Cloud DevOps GCP Kanban Security Terraform More: We are a London-based council recruiting a Cloud Engineering Manager for a major technology transformation programme.
