Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements: Current UK Security Check (SC) clearance Experience delivering IT infrastructure within the UK defence sector, including supporting or working within MoD environments Strong experience with Windows Server, Windows Client, Active Directory and core domain services Good knowledge of networking, including firewalls, routers and switches Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and/or Hyper-V Strong infrastructure troubleshooting and 3rd line support capability Experience with system design, integration and implementation Experience leading, mentoring or providing technical direction to other engineers Strong customer and stakeholder management skills Ability to prioritise technical work and make sound decisions around risk, security and delivery Willingness and eligibility to undertake Developed Vetting (DV) longer-term Formal line management experience Direct experience working with MoD customers and stakeholders Experience supporting air-gapped, restricted or highly secure networks Current or previous DV clearance Knowledge of Secure by Design principles Project or technical delivery management experience Responsibilities: Lead, line manage and develop a small team of IT Infrastructure Engineers. Take ownership of technical delivery across customer projects and services. Plan and prioritise activity against risk, resource and customer requirements. Lead the resolution of complex infrastructure, hardware, software and networking issues. Provide technical escalation and 3rd line support. Support the design, integration, implementation and maintenance of secure IT systems. Monitor and maintain critical systems and networks. Contribute to system design and solution architecture. Maintain clear technical, support and procedural documentation. Coach and mentor engineers, sharing good engineering practice across the team.
