You have extensive experience building and operating backend applications in production, using Java or Kotlin as your primary language. You apply strong software craftsmanship practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), refactoring, and pair or mob programming, to new and existing codebases. You have experience with cloud-based microservices and APIs running in containerized and/or serverless environments, preferably on AWS. You have helped teams and colleagues grow through coaching, introducing standards, or leading technical initiatives across multiple teams. You have experience owning production systems, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, incident resolution, and stakeholder communication. You have HBO or university-level working and thinking capabilities. You communicate strongly in either Dutch or English. Nice to have: experience with TypeScript or Node.js, Spring WebFlux or RxJava, Infrastructure as Code (CDK or CloudFormation), Kubernetes or AWS Fargate, SQL and NoSQL databases, or mobile app development. Responsibilities: Further develop and maintain the backend APIs powering our app and website. Build user-friendly, high-quality features for the journey planner, booking flows, customer service, personalization, and integrations with shared mobility partners. Work with business analysts, product owners, and solution architects to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions. Develop structured, maintainable code and proactively address technical debt and legacy systems. Help migrate services to our target cloud architecture. Monitor applications and respond effectively to incidents and production disruptions. Collaborate with other teams to make functionality available in our mobile app and web platforms.
